Petit Bonhomme!

The Cutest Little Children's Shop in Town!
Petit Bonhomme

I have to say I just love this little shop. It reminds me of the boutiques in Europe that my husband and I shopped in recently while visiting there.
Absolutley darling!

Karin the owner loves supporting local businesses too such as;
Tra La La, Bob Harlow, Cache Cache, and Tina Tierney.

And most of the designer things that you find at Nordtrom's
you can find right here in SC at better prices.

She has amazing gifts for birthdays and holidays.

Decorate those cute little tiny baby feet.

Fun and frilly, girlie sweet.

Karin Michelesen is the owner and has been for the past 20 years here in San Clemente.
She is so kind and eagar to help you find just the perfect thing for the little sweeties in our lives. She would know too, she has raied 4 great children herself. I really enjoy shopping there and I hope you do too. Stop by anytime and tell her we sent you....

Unbelievable!

What a beautiful Sunset!
These are the kinds of sunsets we get here in SC during the winter.
And I have to say that it really looked as if the sky was on fire.
Breathtaking!
I hope you can enjoy it as much as I did.
I am getting out soon and checking out local restaurants.
I just might be headed to you.
Or if you have a local restaurant or take out place you would like me to try,
I'll be your guinea pig.
Let me know...

Happy New Year!

So many things are happening in this sleepy beach town. Even during all the rain fall, which we have seemed to get these days plenty these days. There is still a lot going on: Great new restaurants, a new sports park, Target, miniature golfing, to sell or not sell North Beach, and Marblehead signage. Some of these are controversial. Some not so much.
So with my time not being spent laying on the beaches and soaking up the rays, I was inclined to start this blog because I have lived here in SC for most of my life and thought I would be a hoot to share my opinion(you know what they say about opinions) and hopefully hear yours as well as to the goings on here. I shop here, eat-out here and raise my family here. And yes, I moved away and couldn't help myself but to move back. Why? Because I love it here.

So let's chat!

I have to say I was less than impressed that they are opening a FlowRider here in SC. So if you don't know what this is or never saw the movie Point Break click here. What in the heck? You can practically throw a rock to the waters edge and get waves for free.We also have some of the most famous surfing spots in the world, with some of the most famous surfer coming out of this town still, and they want to put out fake waves?
Maybe I am wrong, is this really what the kids want to do out here in SC? Is this really going to promote more business revenue for the city? Growing up here there really wasn't much to do, I realize. However, what happen to just going out side and having fun. It's not like we live where waves are in short supply.
So what do you think? I mean is it something that will succeed in San Clemente? I give it a year tops!!
